The retailer NETTO Aps & Co. KG, based in Stavenhagen, has signed a service agreement with MARKANT Handels- und Industriewaren-Vermittlungs AG effective from 1 April 2017. The cooperation is intended to optimise background processes and further strengthen the consistent focus on customers.

As a regional discount supermarket, NETTO, creates an everyday quality of life and focuses on promoting regional products, thus securing jobs for the local community.

“Our company philosophy is built on customer focus and responsible regional retail. We aim to be a good neighbour to our customers and a reliable, fair business partner. By using MARKANT's services, we hope to take the pressure off our back office operations in order to concentrate on our strengths”, said Claus Juel-Jensen, Managing Director of NETTO Germany.

NETTO Germany is a subsidiary of the Danish supermarket group Dansk Supermarked A/S, Denmark's largest retail company.

In Germany, “NETTO mit dem Scotti” operates around 350 stores in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Brandenburg, Berlin, Saxony-Anhalt, Saxony, Schleswig-Holstein, Lower Saxony and Hamburg.

The MARKANT Group offers its retail partners a variety of services along the entire value creation chain and in back office operations. These range from market research to EDI and master data management.

Franz-Friedrich-Müller, Managing Director of MARKANT AG, is delighted with the new partnership. “The fact that we have been able to convince a successful regional company such as NETTO to take advantage of our services is a testament to the quality of what we have to offer. It shows that, as an international services company, we can also offer tangible benefits to regional retail partners. We look forward to working together with NETTO in the future”.
