With Bünting and Klaas & Kock, retailers are now also on board for the first time. This is attracting attention in the industry, as a recent report in the Lebensmittelzeitung shows.
The article provides an update on the status of this major project, highlights challenges, and explains the long-term potential of eCMR for the industry: in future, hundreds of thousands of documents could be processed paperlessly, efficiently, and without error-prone media breaks. In the next step, Markant wants to offer digital consignment notes to all partners who ship groupage freight with Dachser and use the Digital Transaction File (DVA).
The standard for the digital consignment note was developed by the Open Logistics Foundation (OLF), a non-profit foundation established by large companies in the logistics and supply chain management sectors. As part of the OLF, the Markant Group contributed to the development of this solution. The project had already attracted considerable interest at the Transport Logistics 2025.
