The retail and service group Markant acquired a majority stake in the Cologne-based specialist for product content management Bayard on 1 January 2023 . Markant is currently supporting 15,000 suppliers and more than 200 retailers with product information management services, among other things. The combination of this network, the experienced employees in the Markant national subsidiaries and IT department, the Bayard specialists and the use of technical components of its platform Byrd will take the Markant product content services to a new level.
Markant will be able to use Bayard technology to offer the industry a cloud-based product information management (PIM) solution and extensive consulting services, among other things. Bayard will continue to offer and develop its technology and consulting services on the market, even under the new ownership.
