Pioneering work with the Open Logistics Foundation: Great interest in eCMR software

Press releases |

The Markant Group has been working with the Open Logistics Foundation on a software solution for the entire transport chain. The innovative project was presented at Transport Logistics 2025.

The Open Logistics Foundation (OLF) attracted huge interest from the media at Transport Logistics 2025 in Munich with its new eCMR software. As a member of the OLF and IT partner in the pilot phase of development, the Markant Group is delighted with the positive response to the successful project.

The OLF is a non-profit foundation established by large companies in the logistics and supply chain management sectors. It is committed to promoting open source applications in logistics.

The eCMR software is a solution that brings electronic consignment notes to a common standard. Based on open source, this software is freely available to all companies. Tests conducted by Markant have shown that using the new eCMR software saves up to 60 percent of time, significantly reducing the workload for everyone involved in the transport chain.

The positive response in the trade press demonstrates how relevant this software is for the logistics industry. Among others, Verkehrsrundschau, Lebensmittelzeitung, Logistik Heute, Eurotransport and MM-Logistik have reported on it.

The reports highlight the collaboration between the OLF companies and the pooling of their expertise to create a useful, functional and freely accessible software. The Markant Group is proud to have contributed to this solution as part of the OLF.
